The abstract submission process aims to gather high-quality scientific research, case studies and innovative practices in radiology and related fields. The goal is to foster knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation among radiologists, radiographers, researchers, biomedical engineers, medical physicists and other allied healthcare professionals across Africa and beyond.

– Abstracts are open to radiologists, radiographers, medical physicists, biomedical engineers, researchers, and other healthcare professionals involved in radiology and imaging sciences.
– Submissions from students, residents, and early-career professionals are highly
encouraged.

Abstracts must be structured as follows:
Title: Concise and descriptive (max 25 words).
Authors: Include full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors. Indicate the
presenting author.
Purpose: Briefly state the context and objectives of the study.
Methods and Materials: Describe the study design, materials, and methods used.
Results: Summarize key findings with relevant data.
Conclusion: Highlight the significance of the findings and their implications for radiology
practice.
References: Capture all key references.
Keywords: Include 3-5 keywords relevant to the abstract.
Word Limit
Abstracts should not exceed 300 words (excluding title, authors, and keywords).
Language and Formatting
Abstracts must be submitted in English.
Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and single-line spacing.
Avoid abbreviations unless defined.

Referencing style
References should follow the Harvard, APA, Vancouver format or any other format as
deemed appropriate by the scientific review committee.
At the reference list, references should be listed corresponding to the order in which they
appear in the text.

Online Submission
– Abstracts must be submitted through the conference’s official online submission portal/email.
– Submit your abstract in Word or PDF format.
– Abstracts that cannot be accepted for oral presentation may be invited to be presented as (online) e-Poster.
– The presenter of an accepted abstract must be registered for the PACORI 2025 congress.
Submission Deadline
– The deadline for abstract submission is Wednesday, April 30, 2025 | 23:59 EAT. Late submissions will not be considered.
– Deadline for e-Poster upload is Monday June 30 th 2025.
Confirmation of Submission
– A confirmation email will be sent upon successful submission.
Review Criteria
Abstracts will be evaluated based on:
– Relevance to the conference theme and focus topics.
– Scientific rigor and originality.
– Clarity of presentation and adherence to guidelines.
– Presenters have to be registered for the 2025 PACORI congress.
Notification of Acceptance
– Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by end of June.
– Accepted abstracts will be scheduled for oral or poster presentations.
Oral Presentations
Presenters will have 10 minutes for their presentation, followed by 5 minutes for Q&A.
Use PowerPoint for slides.
All presenters will be able to upload their talk(s) on site.
Presentations should be uploaded 2 hours prior to the session.
E- Poster Presentations
Posters should be A1 size (594mm x 841mm) in portrait orientation*
Presenters of e-posters should upload the final e-poster in PDF format to the e-poster gallery.
The link to the poster submission will be published at the beginning of July.
Include the title, authors, and key sections (Learning objectives, background, Imaging
findings OR procedure details, conclusion and references).
Word limit is 300 excluding the title, authors, and key sections.
Publication
Accepted abstracts will be published in the final conference proceedings brochure.
Selected abstracts may be considered for publication in an online journal.
